How Do I Place My Own Ad?

·                 Go to JobsWanted.ie and click on Place New Ad in the grey box.

·                 Select the Category and County that apply to your ad.

·                 Insert a Brief Description to act as the title of your advertisement

·                 Your experience: include a description of yourself or your services available and the category that you would like your ad to be placed. Eg. Engineering & Civil. You have up to 1000 characters in this box.

·                 Upload Photo if required.

·                 Upload Video if required.

·                 Insert your Personal Details including a valid phone number and email address. Decide what you would like to be made public with the selection boxes provided.

·                 Follow the step-by-step instructions on the Payment Page.

 

Write An Ad

Write your ad as you would a cover letter. You only get a few sentences and about half a minute to make a first impression on potential employers. Use professional pictures of yourself and your product/service to help give a positive impression. 

You are allowed 1000 characters so use them wisely!

Selecting Photos

Only use Photos of yourself, your work, and/or your business. Chose pictures that best reflect what you are offering and provide insight into what to expect from hiring you. 

Don't forget, it is considered copy write infringement to download picture of others for commercial use without permission. If you don't have any photos of yourself or your service you can purchase pictures from different websites. 

How Do I update, Bump up, or Remove an Ad?

Log in to your ad on JobsWanted.ie and click on the link "Edit Ad" in the grey box on the homepage. You can update your ad as many times as you want without any extra cost.

To remove your ad, log in to your ad on JobsWanted.ie and click on the link "Remove Ad" in the grey box. 

You can bump up your ad to the top of the page buy paying €2. After your 30 days has expired you will receive a reminder email to bump up your ad automatically. 

If you cannot remember your log in, you can find this on the registration email in your inbox.

 

How Do I Place My Own Ad?

To upload photo(s)/ Videos into an ad:

·                 Transfer the photo(s)/video from your camera or phone to your computer.

·                 Go to the jobswanted website and click on the Place Ad or Edit Ad.

·                 Follow the instructions until you get to the photos page.

·                 Click on the Browse button and select the photo file or video file from your computer.

·                 Press OK, and then Add Photo or add Video.

All photos are automatically resized before the ad is published. For a faster upload, resize your photo to a width of 500 pixels before uploading it.

 

How Does the Phone Payment Work

It is easy to pay for your new ad on JobsWanted.ie:

1.             When you place an ad you get a phone number and an activation code.

2.             Call the phone number and enter the activation code. The total cost of the call is €2*, and is charged to your phone bill.

3.             Your ad is made available on JobsWanted.ie shortly after your call.

 

 

Is it Safe?

Absolutely! The phone service we use is regulated by RegTel. Each call costs €2*. No recurring charges. No hidden fees.

 

What Phone Number is Used?

We use a so called Per-call Charged Service (starts with 1517). The call normally lasts less than 20 seconds, but the cost is the same even if the call lasts longer.

 

Where Can I Call From?

You can call from any phone in the Republic of Ireland (including mobiles*). The fee will be charged to the phone you make the call from.

 

What if I Cannot get Through?

Some phone numbers are blocked from calling premium rate numbers. If you cannot get through to our 1517-number, please try one of the following:

·                 Try calling from another phone.

·                 Contact your phone company and ask them if your phone is blocked from calling premium rate numbers. Please see phone company customer care number (listed below) for the number to call.

Report An Ad

To Report an Ad:

·                 Send us an email at info@jobswanted.ie stating the ad title, category and posting date

·                 Give a brief description of why you are reporting this ad.

·                 Include a valid email address.

·                 Click on "Send".

 

How Long Will the Ad Be Visible?

All ads stay up for 1 month. However, you can easily remove the ad yourself at any time. You can also bump up your ad to the top of the list for another €2. 

A few days before the ad is removed we send you an email, just in case you want to renew your ad for another month.

 

I Cannot Find My Ad

When you place an ad we send you an email, to confirm that the email address is correct. The email should arrive within a few minutes after placing your ad.

If you have not received the email there might be a problem with your email address. Log in to your ad and check the email address.

Also, please check if the email has gone into your Junk or Spam folder by mistake.
Go to the Jobswanted.ie home page and click on the link "Remove or update an ad" in the grey box.

I have called the phone number but I cannot see my ad?

It can take a few minutes for an ad to be published once the payment has been received. If your ad is not published within a reasonable amount of time, we would recommend that you contact us at info@jobswanted.ie rather than calling the number again to avoid being charged twice. 

Your phone company charges you for every call made to our number!

My ad is not displayed in correct section

To ensure your ad is in the correct category make sure to reference the category in the text or title of your ad. 

Our search engine will not be able to pick up your ad in the correct section if there is no reference to the category in the text of the ad. 

For example if you want your write up to appear in the Accounting Section, make sure to use the word Accounting in your write up.
